Earl Carpenter is a professional singer and skilled compere and comedian. In 1993 he started his career as King Richard in a Bill Kenwright production of Robin Prince of Sherwood, soon followed by two years as Simeon in another Kenwright piece, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Carpenter then started a strong working relationship with Cameron Mackintosh, performing in his productions of Les Miserables (as Courfeyrac in 1996 and Javert in 2008 and 2009), Witches of Eastwick (2000 and 2001) and Phantom of The Opera (2004 and as the Phantom between 2005 and 2007). He has also performed in various other high profile musicals, including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, as the standby Beast and Gaston (1997-2000 and 2002-2003), in Sunset Boulevard on its UK Tour (2001-2002), and in We Will Rock You at the Palace Theatre Manchester (2010). He has recently expanded his repertoire to include a part in the opera of The Merry Widow in 2004, and a part in a short film entitled Yes: Diaries of the Dog Face Boy in 2008.Read Less
