David McAlister is a multi-talented performer with an extensive repertoire on television, in musicals, on stage and in film. With performances in Miss Marple, Poirot, Hollyoaks (2003), Holby Blue (2007), and Doctors (2009), to name but a very few of his extensive television appearances, he has also been part of many documentaries, providing numerous voice overs and performing as Charles Darwin in ‘Darwin’s Struggle: The Evolution of The Origin of Species’ (2009).
McAlister’s musical theatre credits are likewise extensive, with London performances including roles at the King’s Head Theatre, the West End’s Phoenix Theatre and Victoria Palace Theatre (1997). It was in 2006 that he first got the part of Daddy Warbucks in Annie The Musical. He returned to the part in 2009 for its UK Tour, and then again between 2010-2011, and in 2012 went with it to Hong Kong and Singapore.
On stage, McAlister has gone on several national tours, performed at Ludlow Festival, with Bill Kenwright Productions, and in pantomimes, his latest appearance being as Captain Hook in Peter Pan. In film, he has appeared in The Music Lovers, Doomsday Gun, Fatherland, A Princess in Love and Carnaby Films’ Lighthouse Hill.
