David Caves is a proficient stage actor. After training at LAMDA, he made his first two professional appearances with Love & Madness Productions, firstly as Twelfth Night’s Antonio, and secondly as the brooding hero Heathcliff in a version of Emily Bronte’s classic, Wuthering Heights. In 2006, he starred in O’Flaherty VC, a play which won the Lost Theatre Festival Award for best production. Later that year, he took to the Battersea Arts Centre stage, whilst in 2007 he performed in Carve, the winner of the Atlantic Festival, and a show that was taken to London’s Tristan Bates Theatre. Interspersing these and later performances with performances with prestigious theatre company Cheek By Jowl, from 2011 his career really took off. After performing at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in The Beggar’s Opera, he took a role in Southwark Playhouse’s The Changeling, and then the coveted part of Petruchio in the RSC’s version of The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, he started his television career as the new regular in BBC series Silent Witness.
