Con O’Neill is an English actor who began his stage career with the Everyman Youth Theatre, Liverpool. In 1998 he won Best Actor in a Musical at the Olivier Awards for his role as Mickey in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers. He was nominated for a Tony award for the same role after transferring to the Broadway run in 1993. In 1992 he starred opposite Jude Law in Phillip Ridley’s The Fastest Clock in the Universe at Hampstead Theatre. Other notable roles include Joe Meek in Telstar (2005) which gained him an Olivier nomination, Aston in The Caretaker (2006) at the Tricycle theatre under direction from Jamie Lloyd, and Dave in Faces in the Crowd (2008) at Royal Court Theatre.
Con has had guest roles in established British television series including Brookside (1984), The Bill (1989), Inspector Morse (1991), Pie in the Sky (1995), Heartbeat (1997) and Midsomer Murders (2013). He has also had recurring roles in comedy Moving Story (1994-1995), Always and Everyone (1999) and mini-series Criminal Justice (2008).
