Ben Mansfield attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 2003, during which he appeared in a number of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Productions before graduating in 2006.
By 2007 he had already starred himself the lead role of Alan Howard in the English Touring Theatre’s production of French Without Tears by Terence Rattigan. In the same year he played the dashing Steva in Jenufa, an adaptation by Timberlake Wertenbaker in the Natural Perspective production at the Arcola Theatre, directed by Gabriela Preissová. Mansfield starred as Sebastien in Sir Peter Hall’s fourth production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare at The National Theatre (2011).
He has most recently appeared as Stanley Stubbers in the critically acclaimed One Man, Two Guvnors directed by Nicholas Hytner at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, and appeared as Don Lucas in Relative Values at The Theatre Royal, Bath before its West End transfer.
On Television, he is best known for playing Captain Becker in the ITV sci-fi drama Primeval and has also appeared in BBC’s Holby City (2007). His Film credits also include Hell Bent for Leather (2007) and Mr Nobody (2009).Read Less
