Criterion Theatre

  • 218-223 Piccadilly, St. James's, London W1V 9LB
  • Capacity: 591

First opened in 1874 with a piece by W. S. Gilbert (half of the famous light-operatic duo Gilbert & Sullivan), the Criterion Theatre was a late addition to the redevelopment of the White Bear, a 17th century posting inn. It retains a well-preserved Victorian auditorium with an intimate atmosphere.
