Hot off the back of the hugely successful “Love Always” Tour which took place in autumn 2017, Shane Filan has announced the second leg, taking in some of the UK’s best loved venues, and the tour is coming to back to Birmingham, to the New Alexandra Theatre on Saturday 5 May 2018.
Shane says,” I stood on the stage in Birmingham and promised I would return – and here I am! Birmingham has such an amazing crowd, I just had to perform here again. In fact, the whole tour went so well I thought I would love to take it back out. It was such fun and the fans have taken “Love Always” to their hearts. I want to get out and perform it for them, although I may be adding a few surprises into the mix to make this leg a little different – so watch out!”
He added, “Love Always”, is a collection of some of my favourite classic love songs. It's the album I've wanted to make for a long time. For me, being able to perform this on stage is humbling. It reminds me of just how phenomenal it is to be a musician and how lucky I am to have such great fans.
Shane has cemented his position as one of the UK’s most popular male solo artists, following phenomenal success with Westlife, one of the world’s most successful bands of the last few decades. He has taken to the life on the road most recently delivering two hugely successful “Right Here” Tours in 2016, which saw fans pleading for another run on the road. Shane was keen to oblige and the idea for “Love Always” was soon born, with this latest tour including all his popular hits and tracks from the album.
Westlife had fourteen chart topping singles and forty-four million sales. Their career, Shane says, “fulfilled all of our dreams 1000 times over.” It’s been a remarkable journey for a singer songwriter who grew up inspired by an admiration of Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson.
