As a former winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, and following her spellbinding performance at the Last Night of the 2012 BBC Proms, violinist Nicola Benedetti needs absolutely no introduction. We’re delighted that she is joining Oxford Philomusica to perform Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, the Orchestra’s associate venue.
The Philomusica’s outstanding players will also showcase symphonic suites by two other great Russian composers: Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé and Stravinsky’s thrilling Firebird – the work that made the composer a star when he wrote it for the legendary Ballet Russes Company in 1910.
There are no booking fees for this production.
However, all bookings made through ATG Tickets for this venue are subject to a £2.85 Transaction fee.
All Super Seats include choice of nibble box, welcome drink and programme or theatre gift.
We have put together a Social Story in conjunction with National Autistic Society Aylesbury Vale Branch, to support audience members on the autistic spectrum. We hope this helps. Click here to download it.
