Although not a Londoner by birth, Jimi Hendrix's music and style is synonymous with the London scene of the late 60s, where he lived from 1966 until his untimely death in 1970. In July and August 2012 The Hospital Club celebrates Jimi Hendrix's life in London with a special exhibition showcasing his time in the capital. The exhibition includes a selection of jackets worn by Jimi, the original acetates of several of his recordings and for the first time back in London, the guitar he famously smashed up on stage at the Saville Theatre just before he left for the Monterey Pop Festival.
