Spook yourself this Halloween with chilling Ghost Walks at New Wimbledon Theatre

Approved by ATG's PR & Communications Officer, David Bradbury

With a sell out success from last year, and Halloween just around the corner, New Wimbledon Theatre will play host to chilling Ghost Walks again this November. The Grade II listed Edwardian building, which has stood proudly on Wimbledon’s Broadway since 1910, is obviously steeped in theatrical history but if rumours are to be believed, it has a ghostly past as well!

Marq English, Paranormal Investigator and author of Paranormal Surrey, will guide patrons through the darkened corridors of the venue telling the ghostly tales of reported paranormal activity culminating in a chilling chance for guests to stand on stage and experience the mysterious activity for themselves.

Stories include, the tale of the Grey Lady rumoured to haunt the void beneath the Dress Circle and the  reported image of an Edwardian gentleman walking though the theatre’s corridors, which is rumoured to be the theatre founder, JB Mulholland! Marq will also tell the legendary tale of the night water was seen cascading down the safety curtain when the theatre was closed for the night and no one was about.... These stories and more will be told on this frightful evening which will really spook our guests this Halloween!

Tours will take place on Sunday 2 November and are certainly not for the fainthearted. Tickets include a glass of wine, beer or soft drink to steady your nerves for this scary and mysterious tour around Wimbledon’s most iconic theatre. Click here to book
