Robin Sebastian from Volcano has answered these questions exclusively for Richmond Theatre!
I am thrilled to be part of a little known Coward piece. This is a more reflective play but it is still packed with very witty lines. If only we could find another couple of Oscar Wilde plays as well, then I could die happy!
My favourite part of the play has to be the volcanic eruption. Having played almost nothing but funny camp characters like Kenneth Williams, it is rather exciting playing an action man in a genuinely stressful situation.
The pub afterwards!
The play is a web of sexual intrigue, of unrequited love and lust. I have to point out that my character and that of my wife (Finty Williams) are the only untroubled contented people of the play! So we are the moral barometers of the play.
You can see Robin Sebastian in Volcano at Richmond Theatre on Tue 5 – Sat 9 June. Click here for more information.
