ATG's Business Director (UK Venues), Julia Potts, is taking part in tomorrow's International Day of the Girl - A UN initiative that recognises girl's rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world.
This Speed Mentoring event - which is led by Jude Kelly and the South Bank - is a great opportunity for volunteers to use their expertise in supporting girls to feel empowered in the choices and challenges they face in their lives.
Julia will be joining thousands of people around the world on this special day in celebrating the power and potential of girls everywhere.
The mentors and mentees will spend a total of one hour together, through two rotations on the London Eye. Each mentor will see a total of 3 mentees during this time for 15 minutes each, leaving 15 minutes for taking in the view!
Julia said, 'I am delighted to be asked to participate in this event, to highlight the abilities of girls everywhere. Too often in the world, girls are still marginalised and their potential is consequently unfulfilled. Raising awareness of this, and having a positive conversation with some local schoolgirls about their futures, will be an excellent way to mark the day.'
