Congratulations to ATG’s Brenda Walliss who has picked up the UK Theatre Award for Theatre Employee/Manager of the Year. Brenda is the FOH Manager at the Princess Theatre, Torquay and takes full responsibility for the staffing and all FOH sales.
The UK Theatre Awards were presented yesterday lunchtime at a glitzy ceremony at London’s historic Guildhall, a magnificent medieval Grade 1 listed landmark building situated in the heart of London.
Speaking at the awards, Brenda said, 'I’m over the moon and can’t believe that something I enjoy doing so much has been recognised in such a lovely way.'
ATG’s Joint CEO, Rosemary Squire, added 'I’m absolutely delighted that Brenda has won the UK Theatre Award for Theatre Employee/Manager of the Year. Brenda is one of our longest serving employees with an extraordinary 51 years service and this award and recognition is thoroughly deserved. Many congratulations to Brenda and all the team in Torquay!'
Over the past 12 months, Brenda has raised in excess of £10,000 for ATG’s chosen charity, Cancer Research and since 2007 has raised a staggering £88,000 for charity.
