BAFTA award-winning Cbeebies superstar Justin Fletcher will star in the spectacular and magical fairytale pantomime Cinderella this Christmas alongside beautiful TV presenter Zöe Salmon and hilarious comedian Hal Cruttenden. The presenter and actor known for his impressive range of characters in programmes such as Something Special, Gigglebiz and Justin’s House is adored by children and parents alike and is sure to bring fun and laughter for the whole family in this magnificent show! Joining Justin as the beautiful Cinderella is presenter and Dancing on Ice star Zöe Salmon, with one of the top comedians in the UK, Hal Cruttenden providing some laughter as Dandini. With sumptuous sets, gorgeous fairytale costumes, riotous Panto dames, real Shetland ponies, big song and dance numbers, magic, audience participation and more casting still to be announced - this year’s Cinderella is guaranteed to be full of wonder to delight audiences of all ages from Fri 6 Dec '13 - Sun 5 Sun '14.
With state-of-the-art staging, amazing special effects and a hit score, Ghost the Musical comes to Woking for two weeks only from 12 - 23 November. Based on the phenomenal Oscar-winning film that captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation back in the 90s, the story is adapted for the stage by Bruce Joel Rubin from his own Oscar-winning screenplay for the film. With a score by rock legends and Grammy award winners, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson and Alanis Morrisette) - this is a rollercoaster of romance and comedy!
Glyndebourne embarks on its 20th annual visit with three exceptional operas from 29 October - 2 November. 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, to celebrate this the Tour includes a new production of his masterpiece The Rape of Lucretia. Donizetti’s intoxicating comedy, L’elisir d’amore, blends sparkling high spirits and heart-warming sentiment and Laurent Pelly’s deliciously witty production of Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel injects a modern twist into this enchanting classic.
Dance lovers are in for a treat as the highly acclaimed Sofia National Ballet performs three exquisite ballets Don Quixote, Giselle and Swan Lake, over three consecutive nights, 25 - 27 July. September brings the renowned Northern Ballet who will be performing their mischievous Olivier nominated production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 24 - 28 September as well as the classic story Ugly Duckling, a ballet especially for children on 27 September. The world’s leading performers of theatrical ice dance, The Imperial Ice Stars return with their spectacular production of Sleeping Beauty on Ice, 15 - 19 October and embarking on their 25th Silver Anniversary Tour, Moscow State Ballet perform two of their most famous and best loved classical ballets, Romeo and Juliet and Nutcracker, 7 - 9 November.
The New Year brings the return of the vibrant stage production of the classic musical West Side Story, 18 Feb - 1 March; Matthew Bourne’s exquisite interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, 18 - 22 March and following the huge success of Midnight Tango, the much-loved duo Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace are back with a brand new show Dance ‘Til Dawn, 12 - 17 May.
We welcome an array of musicals from the sounds of the 60s with the stunning new musical Carnaby Street set to a backdrop of over 30 classic hits of the time, 9 - 14 September, to a brand new production of one of the best loved musicals, Fiddler on the Roof from 22 - 26 October. The Agatha Christie Theatre Company presents another thrilling production of the Queen of crime’s classic Go Back for Murder, 30 September - 5 October, celebrity psychic, Sally Morgan returns with Psychic Sally on the Road, 2 September and the authority on all things bush craft and survival, Ray Mears shares stories from over thirty years of surviving the wilderness and its colourful wildlife, 13 October. Following a hit UK Tour last year, Douglas Adams’ immortal creation, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy explodes back to life in this ground-breaking new stage production. A radio show on stage like you never saw before, it’s packed with laughter, wild sound effects and drinks with extremely silly names, 27 October. The nation’s favourite cookery show comes alive on stage with star host Russell Grant and TV chef Lesley Waters joined by a celebrity chef to serve up the ingredients - will Green Peppers or Red Tomatoes triumph? Clive John and The Spirit Band bring The Johnny Cash Roadshow, 4 September, presenting all of The Man in Black’s top hits including Ring of Fire, Walk the Line and Boy Named Sue. Pink Floyd fans are in for a treat on 5 September as one of the UK’s top Tribute Bands UK Pink Floyd Experience play all the hits from the whole back catalogue; celebrating the 60th Anniversary of The Drifters, the current line up will be performing all the classics, 6 September; That’ll Be the Day returns with a brand new show featuring hits from 50s, 60s and 70s, 8 September and an all star line-up - Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Searchers, P.J. Capturing the magic of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Let’s Hang On celebrates their music and their uniqueness of the group, 9 October; the Illegal Eagles perform all the classics including Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise and Lyin’ Eyes with the Heaven Heats Up Tour, 10 October and featuring two hours of spectacular song and dance from stage and screen, Gotta Sing Gotta Dance takes you on an exhilarating journey through the wonderful world of musical theatre, 11 - 12 October.
