The Front of House team create a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the venue by interacting with customers, at the same time up selling products and offering services that customers enjoy.

In addition to the above, our cashiers are responsible for the daily cashing up procedures and banking. Therefore all applicants must be organised, good at maths and have exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

All applicants must be able to provide a set weekly availability at interview.

Rotas are issued on a Tuesday with shifts starting the following Sunday. As this is a job share role, there will be other shift opportunities available as a Front of House Assistant.

The role may include the sale and service of alcohol so applicants must be over 18.

Good availability across a 7 day working week is desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To work alongside the Supervisor in order to assist the Duty Manager in the opening and closing of the building to the public. Ensuring the staff are in the correct sales points and in (clean and tidy) uniform.
  • To work in any area of the venue as and when the need arises.
  • To help initiate ideas and systems to increase sales, provide customer service and minimise costs.
  • To work closely with the Duty Manager in the control of cash handling procedures to minimise losses.
  • To assist the Supervisor in the cashing up of ice creams, programmes and merchandise where necessary.
  • To assist in ensuring that the theatre and cinema screens are cleaned after each performance.
  • To assist in motivating the staff and ensuring they are kept busy during quieter periods of their shifts.
  • To bank daily takings, filling in the necessary paperwork ready for collection.
  • To adhere to all health and safety procedures to minimise the risk of injury and accidents.
  • To complete all other delegated tasks that may assist in achieving the company's business objectives.
