Join us at an exciting time as we look to continue a programme of improvements to our venue whilst building our reputation for delivering World Class Theatre and Making Theatre Magic.$0$0We're looking for a Bistro Cook to join the team, to assist the kitchen operation of our in house restaurant. The Garden Place Bistro is a 45 seat capacity dining establishment, and you'll be preparing all dishes, assisting with stock control and ensuring we conform at all times with health and hygiene regulations. You'll be working under the management of our lead Cook, and may be asked to provide cover or take responsibility for the kitchen if they are away.$0$0You can see our current menu here: $0$0The Bistro is open two hours prior to the performance in the evening and for some matinee (afternoon) shows and events; evening shifts usually run between 5pm until 9 or 9.30pm. A full day including a matinee and an evening performance will usually start at 12noon and finish between 9-9.30pm. On average we expect to be able to offer up to 20-25 hours per week; during a busy period there can be more shifts available. For example, we expect our upcoming run of Matilda to be very busy.$0$0The aim of our Bistro service is to ensure customers can eat a quality meal in the limited time available after work or school without needing to worry if they will make the show on time, so you will need to comfortable working at a fast pace. You'll need great organisational skills when working quickly, be a clear and confident communicator and be passionate about doing your best, ensuring every customer receives a quality service. $0$0Key responsibilities:$0$0 $0$0$0Ensure that all food and other products are consistently prepared and served according to the agreed preparation and service standards.$0$0Ensure Bistro dishes are served in a timely manner and to maintain quality customer service standards expected by ATG throughout the Bistro operation at all times.$0$0Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations relating to health and safety, environmental health and complying with all aspects of Better Food Safer Business.$0$0Manage food quality standards by consistently monitoring the temperature of hot food, as well as ensuring that cold food is stored according to health and hygiene standards. $0$0Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition, liaising with the your line manager as appropriate.$0$0To be flexible to work additional hours, based on the needs of the business.$0$0Any other reasonable duties.$0$0$0Our ideal candidate might have some of the following skills or experience, but training will be made available for the right candidate.$0$0$0Kitchen experience.$0$0Stock control experience.$0$0Food hygiene certificate.$0$0First aid trained.$0$0Knowledge of EPOS based till/stock system (e.g. Zonal).$0$0Barista trained.$0$0$0You must be aged 18+ for this role as it may involve the sale and service of alcohol and the occasional sole management of the kitchen. $0$0$0$0Closing date: 23/05/2018 at 5pm$0$0Please note that CVs will not be accepted. $0
