More information

We are seeking an outstanding individual to lead our theatre and team in Wimbledon.

The eighth largest theatre in London - with just under 1,700 seats - the New Wimbledon Theatre straddles both London and Surrey, giving it a unique perspective in terms of programming and outreach. It is a landmark building, standing proudly at the top of the Broadway in the centre of Wimbledon. Inside is a cornucopia of delights, with magnificent marbles and murals, topped by the gleaming angel Laetitia adorning the dome of the theatre.  From here she casts her spell as the goddess of gaiety.

The theatre offers a wide range of programming, crowned by the annual pantomime which is considered by many to be the finest in London. The theatre also has its own Studio, programmed entirely by the Wimbledon Team.

Our new General Manager will be entrepreneurial, creative, comfortable with risk and open-minded. We will want the successful candidate to fulfil some of the programming themselves as well as taking full responsibility for the Studio. We are therefore seeking an individual who can demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of collaboration with producers, promoters and artists.

But within this remit is also the need to have a strong commercial background. Wimbledon is about financial and artistic growth. And reaching out into its local community.

It is anticipated that the new General Manager will evolve into a Theatre Director. It's therefore a great career opportunity within ATG.

Please note the deadline to apply is midday on the 25th September.
