Are you looking to work in the heart of 'Theatreland', at one of the West End's most intimate and beloved venues?  If so, then the Fortune Theatre is the place for you!  Just a stone's throw from Covent Garden, we are home to the popular and successful "Woman In Black", which has been running for over 25 years.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious person to assist in leading and motivating our talented Front of House team.  You should be bursting with new and exciting ways to increase sales and beat our targets.  A passion for delivering excellent customer service, and also motivating other to do so, is essential.  This role is the perfect preparation for a career in Theatre Management, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how a commercial theatre operates. Key Responsibilities

  • To motivate staff to give excellent customer service, creating a fun and dynamic working environment.
  • To increase sales by creating engaging incentives, using current sales figures.
  • To ensure all cash handling procedures are strictly adhered to, complete regular cashing up of staff and precisely reconciling nightly banking.
  • To assist in managing the Front of House team's performance, and ensure all relevant HR paperwork is completed.
  • To assist in ensuring the venue meets company targets including Spend Per Head, Mystery Shop results, Premium Product Sales and Stock Accuracy.
  • To complete administration duties, including: creating weekly rotas, managing staff holiday, preparing and issuing monies and stock, recording staff absence and lateness, controlling stock levels, organising staffing levels for ad hoc external hires.
  • To ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met and Policies & Procedures are adhered to.
  • To spread our company's vision and values to the staff, customers and throughout the venue.

This a 40 hour per week post, to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
