We are looking for an experienced manager to head up the day to day operation of both the Oxford Street Bistro and The Stage Door Bar.

 

We need somebody who is a very strong people manager and team motivator with a bias towards working in a hands-on manner and engaging with customers and team members naturally.







  • Direct line management to the Bistro & Stage Door Bar supervisors and assistants
  • Manage all team members to ensure that all customers feel welcome and are given attentive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
  • Manage the bistro reservation system and deal with any private hire enquires relating to Stage Door Bar
  • Consistently ensure that Oxford Street Bistro and The Stage Door Bar achieves objectives in relation to sales, service, quality, appearance, cleanliness and health and hygiene
  • Promote ATG’s vision and values and lead by example in all areas of responsibility
  • Ensure that all food and other products are consistently prepared and served according to the Bistro’s agreed preparation and service standards
  • Ensure Bistro dishes are served in a timely manner and customer expectations are met
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition, liaising with the venue maintenance team and suppliers as appropriate
  • Ensure that the kitchen and the bar areas are well organised and stock is rotated on a regular basis
  • Oversee recruitment, induction and on-going training (including food hygiene) for all staff working in Oxford Street Bistro and The Stage Door Bar
  • Continuously strive to develop staff in all areas and ensure that there is a multi-functional team
  • When the venue is in operation, you would be expected to cover the role of a kitchen supervisor at least once per week – which includes food preparation. You will also need to cover any absences i.e. sickness and holidays
  • To assist the kitchen supervisor(s) during busy periods with food preparation
  • To assist the bar / waiting staff during busy periods
  • Prepare all required paperwork; including reports, sales analysis and schedules in an organised and timely manner and report results to venue management.
  • Be knowledgeable of ATG’s policies and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to by all team members
  • To be named on the licence as someone who will be in charge of the serving of alcohol in the absence of the named licensee.
  • Oversee product ordering using ATG’s Purchase Order Requisition System
  • To organise regular stock takes, investigating discrepancies and reporting back any variances and liaising with external auditors as necessary   
  • To liaise with Zonal and ATG’s Till Systems team to ensure effective operation and maintenance of our EPOS system
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are received and receipted in accordance with ATG’s stock policies and procedures
  • Schedule staffing as required by anticipated business demand while ensuring that all positions are staffed as needed and cost objectives are met
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations relating to health and safety and environmental health and complying with all aspects of Better Food Safer Business
  • Assist venue management with the development of the Oxford Street Bistro and The Stage Door Bar business plans and budgets, reviewing income and expenditure against budget and assisting the re-forecasting process 
  • Ensure ATG’s cash handling procedure is adhered to at all times and take overall responsibility for all cash handling and reconciliation within Oxford Street Bistro and The Stage Door Bar
  • Assist in developing, planning and executing marketing, advertising and promotional activities along with the venue marketing team
  • As a venue HOD, work alongside other departments to improve all aspects of the venue
