Tickets for Macbeth have been flying off the shelves – and not only because James McAvoy (Atonement and The Last King of Scotland) stars in it. The BAFTA winning and Olivier and Golden Globe nominated actor has teamed up with director Jamie Lloyd – well renowned himself in the theatre directorial world – and ATG to drive an innovative and hugely exciting new outreach scheme.
To launch Lloyd’s Trafalgar Transformed season of plays with a wonderfully big bang, all Monday tickets for Macbeth are £15. With half of these made available via a special outreach scheme that specifically targets young people, first-time theatregoers, and people with limited means or opportunities, the other half has been made available to the general public on the 1st of every month.
