History of Savoy Theatre

By Shiona Walker

The Savoy Theatre has all the luck right now. It's playing host to some of the most stupendous acting and singing talents out there - hey there Robert Lindsay and Katherine Kingsley - and doing so with an absolute stormer of a show, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. And if that wasn't enough it's now also the first of our London theatres to have its very own beautiful infographic. Even if we do say so ourselves, this one's rather a corker. You like fun facts? So... the Savoy introduced seats in a range of colours to help the laydees coordinate their attire. And yeah, the rumoured source of the term 'fairy lights' was from a Savoy show. There's quite a few more where that came from, too. Basically, the below is worth a gander.
