The iconic music of The Beatles will be brought to life on stage at Oxford's New Theatre this month. Let it Be, the spectacular concert jam-packed with over 40 of The Beatles greatest hits, celebrates the legacy of the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band from Mon 20 - Sat 25 June.
The Beatles' music, and indeed the fab four themselves, are no strangers to Oxfordshire. In fact, when en-route to Cheltenham, Paul, John, Ringo and George stopped at a pub in Witney for lunch.
The Windrush Inn
As you enter The Windrush Inn, you'll find an article from The Oxford Mail which dates back to 1963. The framed news piece features The Beatles outside the Witney pub, which they had unexpectedly stopped for lunch at, whilst on their way to a gig at the Odeon Theatre, Cheltenham.
Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Witney town centre, The Windrush is a traditional country style inn with stunning views of the Windrush Valley.
Those who stop by for lunch today will find fresh locally produced products, beautifully roasted joints and the finest selection of premium, succulent and flavoursome steaks.
