The perfect complement to Jamie Lloyd’s post-apocalyptic production and Soutra Gilmour’s gritty set, Macbeth’s press night after party was as opulent as you could hope for. Based in the Westminster Rooms at One Whitehall Place, the gorgeous carved columns, vaulted ceilings, and stunningly ornate decor were well suited to the star-studded guest list.
Alistair Campbell, Tamsin Greig, Toby Jones and half the Downton Abbey cast (Hugh Bonneville, Allen Leech and Laura Carmichael) were among the many who joined the cast for their post-performance revelries.
With champagne aplenty, haggis canapés galore, plus the allure of a number of kilted legs on show, is it any wonder that the after-show party lasted into the wee hours?
