||Rehearsals for Cinderella
are on the horizon, but until then our cast have festive lights to
switch on, fun-filled charity events to attend and special Christmas
appeals to launch! It's fair to say there's never a dull day in the
world of panto; it certainly keeps those pesky Uglies occupied!
The Aylesbury Christmas Lights were switched on in fine festive style last week. Our friends at Mix 96 and AVDC hosted a stage full of fantastic acts including local band Indefinately, Bucks Got Talent winners Castielli School of Dance and the upbeat United Priase Mass Choir - who you might have recognised from being on Britain's Got Talent!
Of course we also took our cheeky Buttons along, and the crowds were
introduced to this year's glamorous Fairy Godmother, the sparkling Suzanne Shaw
who pulled the all important plunger.
|After a few obligatory insults from Ugly Sister (Cheryl), the fine folks of Aylesbury had a sing-a-long with our beautiful Cinderella, Miss Holly Brewer , they were in fine voice and were sure to have been heard across the Vale!
Its fair to say this years Light Switch On was by far the biggest to date.
The weekend saw Cinderella making even more friends at the Hope for Hollie Christmas Fayre in Milton Keynes.
9 year old Hollie Carter from Milton Keynes, was diagnosed with Niemann Pick Type C ('NP-C'), an extremely rare genetic condition which causes neurological decline and childhood dementia when she was just 2 years old. Currently there is no cure, but the Hope for
Hollie team of trustees and volunteers work tirelessly to spread the word about the illness, and endeavour to raise as much money as possible to go towards research and helping families affected by the condition.
Keep up the good work Team Hollie!
Can't wait until Fri 12 to see our panto cast in action? Then join them at Wendover Christmas Lights Wed 3 Dec for a fix of our larger-than-life Uglies, see Suzanne Shaw at the Princes Risborough Lights on Fri 5, or if you fancy a glimpse of our handsome Prince Charming head to Thame on Fri 5.
