After impressing George Lucas in Star Wars a project was created especially for Warwick: the fantasy adventure film Willow (1988) in which Warwick portrayed the title role. From there his acting career went for strength to strength, with him undertaking the role of the evil Leprechaun in the horror films Leprechaun 1-4 (1993-1996) that spanned four films, and later taking on the character Professor Flitwick, the charms teacher in the Harry Potter (2001-2011) series.

Other notable credits include playing chief mouse Reepicheep in the original Prince Caspian: Voyage of the Dawn Treader BBC series (1989), and then as traitor Nikabrik in the blockbuster of the C. S Lewis classic tale The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008).

Most recently Warwick has graced the screen playing a parody of himself in HBO sitcom Life’s Too Short (2011-2013)
