Tam Ryan Overview

Tam Ryan who originates from Barnsley, has been involved in the entertainment industry for most of his life, gaining his first role as Edward Hodgkiss in the BBC war-time drama How We Used To Live at the age of 4. He went on to train at Leeds Institute for Performing Arts and has since embarked on a successful and varied career.

An accomplished actor, Tam has appeared regularly on stage and screen with theatre credits including the role of Dean in the national tour of Boogie Nights, Jester in Once Upon A Mattress (Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield), The Beast in Beauty and the Beast (UK Tour) and Thomas Cromwell in A Man For All Seasons (Liverpool Playhouse).

On screen he has appeared  most recently as a recurring role in ITV’s Emmerdale as Hotton Comprehensive’s no-nonsense Head of Year, Mr. Duggan! Other notable recent credits include Foreman in the P.D. James adaption - Death Comes To Pemberley, Nigel in Coronation Street and Sam Green in Waterloo Road.
