Sheila Reid plays Helena in Maurice's Jubilee. Sheila’s appearances in theatre are many and varied: Seven years with Laurence Olivier’s National Theatre Company, parts including Natasha Three Sisters, Bianca Othello (both also feature films) Mary Warren Crucible, Dorinda Beaux Stratgem, Miss Elvsted Hedda Gabler directed by Ingmar Bergman, who subsequently wrote a part for her in his first English spoken film The Touch. For the RSC, Nurse Romeo & Juliet, Putana Tis Pity she’s a Whore, Queen Margaret Richard Third and in Summer 2011, Aunt Marian American Trade. At the Royal Court Black Milk & Terrorism, My Mother Said I Never Should, and The Gentle Avalanche (Most Promising Actress Award). When I Was A Girl I Used To Scream And Shout, Bush and Whitehall Theatre (Olivier Nomination). The Importance of Being Ernest, Chichester & London Haymarket, Pornography, Tricycle. A founder member of Ian McKellen’s Actors Co with whom she spent 3 seasons. Tours to India, Japan, Russia and USA. A musical On The Town as Mme Dilly for the ENO at the Theatre De Chatelet in Paris. Other musicals: The Beggar Woman, Sweeny Todd (NT) Jacks Mother In To The Woods, Donmar & Eloise Martin Guerre (Prince Edward).

Films include Brazil (Terry Gilliam Directing), Five Days One Summer (Fred Zimmerman) The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne (Jack Clayton), The Dresser (Peter Yates) The Winter Guest (Alan Rickman). Many Television appearances - most recently Case Histories, Justice, Place of Execution and 5 series of the NT Award Winning Benidorm. Her own shows Love Among the Butterflies and Terrible With Raisons In It sold out in Edinburgh and in London.
