Mark Wilde

Scottish Mark Wilde was a chorister at Dundee Cathedral before going on to study at the Royal College of Music, where he performed in Handel’s Arminio among other productions. Other work includes appearances at the Perth and Buxton Festivals, and roles in Vivaldi’s Giustine and Ottone in La Serenissima for BBC Radio 3. He made his debut at Glyndebourne in 2000, playing Ferrando in Così fan Tutte.

Mark Wilde

Mark Wilde Overview

Scottish Mark Wilde was a chorister at Dundee Cathedral before going on to study at the Royal College of Music, where he performed in Handel’s Arminio among other productions. Other work includes appearances at the Perth and Buxton Festivals, and roles in Vivaldi’s Giustine and Ottone in La Serenissima for BBC Radio 3. He made his debut at Glyndebourne in 2000, playing Ferrando in Così fan Tutte.

He has worked with Glyndebourne Touring Opera, the Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Birmingham Opera Company, European Opera Centre in St Petersburg and Riga, Savoy Theatre Opera, the Edinburgh International Festival, and at the Mostly Mozart Festival at the Barbican, among many others. He has performed in concert at the Royal Festival Hall and has recorded a number of pieces. In 2011/2012, he has performed with English Touring Opera as Ugone in Handel’s Flavio and Fairy Queen, and as the title role in Albert Herring.
