Lesley Joseph Overview

Lesley Joseph is a stage and screen actress. From performing in The Miser at the Chichester Festival Theatre, to playing Hortense in The Boyfriend at the Edinburgh Lyceum Theatre, or from playing in a one woman show to singing with RAF Squadronnaires in a concert, her acting and singing skills have been used to great effect in her varied career. She played Miss Hannigan in Annie the Musical during its West End stint and on its UK Tour, and has performed in The Cherry Orchard and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Exeter Northcott Theatre. She has been cast in The Vagina Monologues, which performed in the West End and on tour, and in Peter Hall’s production of Home at Theatre Royal Bath. She has gone with Hot Flush and Calendar Girls on tour, and played the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at the Theatre Royal Belfast.

Television work includes Night and Day, Macbeth, as a presenter on GMTV, Exclusive Yarns, the part of Dorien in Birds of a Feather, Night and Day, The Secret of Eel Island, and The Slammer. Film work includes parts in Jesus of Nazareth, Lost Dogs, and Being Sold.
