Leon Lopez is an actor, singer and songwriter.

Television credits include as series regular Jerome Johnson on Brookside, between 1999 and 2002. He subsequently gained parts in Merseybeat, Holby City, Court Room, The Bill, as a regular in Hollyoaks in the City (2006) and as Anthony Monroe in Doctors (2009).

His stage career started in Liverpool: his debut was at Liverpool Everyman Theatre in Macbeth, and after performing at Liverpool Arts Centre, his three subsequent roles were in productions at the Neptune Theatre in the same city. In 2008 he worked under director Dominic Cooke at the Royal Court Theatre’s Wig Out, and under Jamie Lloyd in Piaf at the Donmar Warehouse. In 2009 he gained a part in The Pros, The Cons and a Screw at the Derby Playhouse.

Musical work includes as the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on its National Tour, in the production directed by Adrian Noble (2007). Between 2007 and 2008 he played Collins in Rent at the West End’s Duke of York Theatre. In 2009 he played Michael in Tick, Tick... Boom! at the Duchess Theatre in London’s West End. 2010 saw him feature as Frid in A Little Night Music in Paris, as Doug in Angels Punks and Raging Queens with Chrysalis Theatre Company, and as Brit in We Will Rock You on its 2010-2011 tour. In 2010 Lopez played the part of Dewain in Theatre Royal Stratford East’s operatic production of I Was Looking At The Ceiling And Then I Saw The Sky.
