Leah Whitaker Overview

Leah Whitaker has numerous stage credits to her name. She trained at RADA, where she played lead roles in a number of productions, including Three Sisters, Othello, A Taste of Honey, The Changeling, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Much Ado About Nothing.

Upon graduating in 2008, her first professional part was in Lyndsey Turner’s Ignition 2 at the Royal Court Theatre. She subsequently performed as Maudie Harrison in Harvest at the Oxford Playhouse and Royal Court Theatre in 2009. This same year, she performed in The List at Arcola Theatre, and in Found in the Ground with The Wrestling School. 2010 saw her play Kitty Bennett in Pride and Prejudice at Theatre Royal Bath, and in Counted at the Roundhouse. In 2011, she played Catherine Tickell in The Heretic at the Royal Court Theatre, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Milton Rooms, and Freya in Earthquakes in London in a Headlong and National Theatre production. In 2012 she performed in the National Theatre Studio and Finborough production of Don Juan Comes Back From The War, and as Kitty Verdun in Charley’s Aunt at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Television work includes Midsomer Murders (2010) and the roles of Tilly in EastEnders, Sister Anne in Holby City, and Sperm nurse in Eggbox, all in 2011. Radio work includes Mum’s Over the Moon, produced by Square Dog for the BBC (2010) and the part of Amelia in the BBC’s The Weather Girl (2012).
