Kim Taylforth Overview

Kim Taylforth is a stage and screen actress.

Television work includes playing Nancy Ray in London’s Burning, WPC Mary Dean in The Bill (1998), Pauline in Brookside (1998), and Mrs Lucas in Dream Team (1999). From 2000, she has had parts in Urban Gothic, Bad Girls, has returned to The Bill to play Mrs Mawby (2002), and has gained the part of Brenda Noye in Eyewitness. In 2004, she played Sharon Ingram in Family Affairs, and in 2009 played Mrs Harries in Metal Metal. In 2012 she has been interviewed on Live With Gabby Logan and on The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

Stage work includes appearances at Croydon Warehouse, Stratford Theatre Royal and in Penny Whistle at London’s Hampstead Theatre. In 2011, she played Pandora in Robin Hood and Mrs Bedwin in Oliver! the musical, performing at Gordon Craig Theatre. In 2012, she played Frau Schmidt in The Sound of Music, and performed the role of Kate in Girls Night on the musical’s number 1 tour.

Taylforth has also been seen on stage at numerous pantomimes. She has starred in Snow White in 2008, as Carabosse in Beauty and the Beast in 2009, and as the Fairy of the Forest in Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood in 2010 and 2011. For the 2012-13 panto season she stars as the Wicked Queen in Snow White at the Deco Theatre in Northampton.
