Kevin Oliver Jones is a Musical Director and performer, who sings and plays piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, mandolin and harmonica.
Performative theatre work in London’s West End includes The Roy Orbison Story (1993-1996 and 2000), Elvis the Musical (1997 and 2000), Jailhouse Rock (2004), Thriller (2009) and Dancing in the Streets (1998 and 2005-2010). He has toured with Return to the Forbidden Planet (1999), Rock and Roll Heaven (2002), This Lonely Heart (2002 and 2004), Blood Brothers (2002) and Summer Holiday (2003). Other work includes at Windsor Theatre Royal, Stoke New Vic, the Edinburgh Festival, Stratford East, Shaw Theatre in London, Gatehouse Theatre and Raffles Hotel in Singapore and Asia.
Recently, he has worked as a Musical Director and arranger on Aladdin (2010) and Dick Whittington (2011) at Towngate Theatre in Basildon, and as Musical Director and co-writer on Buddy vs The Killer (2011). He is currently working on Hats Off to Led Zeppelin.
Film and television work includes as bandleader for the BBC’s The Queen’s Nose in 2000 and as a composer for Ghost Films in 2002, working on Playtime and Time’s Up. He was a guitarist for Top of the Pops in 2005, and worked as a composer for Purleywood Films in 2007 on Time Stands Still.
