Kate Rusby is an English folk singer and songwriter. One of the few folk singers to have been nominated for the Mercury Prize, she has headlined various national folk festivals since her break-through album was released in 1995.

She has contributed to the soundtrack for Billy Connolly's World Tour of New Zealand, an eight-part BBC television documentary series that was originally broadcast in November 2004. A collaboration with Ronan Keating on ‘All Over Again’ peaked at number 6 in the UK Singles Chart in 2006, and her cover of The Kinks was used as the theme tune to the BBC One sitcom Jam and Jerusalem. She has subsequently released a number of songs and albums.
