Jenna Russell

Jenna Russell English actress and stage performer who trained at Sylvia Young Theatre School, and began her stage career performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company, most notably as Fatine in their production of Les Misérables.

Jenna Russell Overview

Jenna Russell English actress and stage performer who trained at Sylvia Young Theatre School, and began her stage career performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company, most notably as Fatine in their production of Les Misérables.

Jenna went on to perform in Chekhov’s Three Sisters (1997) at the Royal Court Theatre, as Cinderella in Sondheim’s musical  Into the Woods (1998) at the Donmar Warehouse, as Sarah Brown in the 2006 production of Guys and Dolls at Piccadilly Theatre under direction from Michael Grandage. Her portrayal of Dot in Sunday in the Park with George (2006) on the West End won her the Olivier for Best Actress in a Musical, and she went on to reprise her role in the Broadway production, receiving a Tony nomination.

On screen Jenna has featured in a number of episodes of  On the Up  (1990-1992), The Bill (1989-1995), and a leading role in BBC drama Born and Bred (2002- 2005).
