James Lance Overview

James Lance trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School.

He has appeared in many stage productions including Pirandello’s Henry IV at the Donmar, Christmas at the Bush theatre and Tape at the New Venture Theatre Brighton. He has also appeared in Dominic Dromgoole’s production of The Inland Sea, played Sammy in A Place At The Table at The Bush Theatre and appeared in Penny For A Song under the direction of Paul Miller. James has also appeared in The Back Room at The Bush Theatre and Andrew Pratt’s production of Queen Christina which was performed in Prague. In 1992, James played Dwight in Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens at the King’s Head Theatre and for the Chichester Festival appeared in Brilliant The Dinosaur.

James also has a number of television credits including appearing in Spaced, Smack The Pony, I’m Alan Partridge and Absolutely Fabulous. His film credits include Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Edgar Wright’s Fistful of Fingers and Jacqui Morris’ Mr Right.
