Jack Bruce

Jack Bruce Overview

Jack Bruce is a Scottish multi-instrumentalist musician, songwriter and composer. A founding member of the legendary British blues-rock power trio Cream (1966), the band also featured drummer Ginger Baker and guitarist Eric Clapton. He has also had a hugely successful solo career that spans several decades, and is well known  for his participation in several well-known musical ensembles. Although he has trained as a classical cellist, he is best recognized as a memorable vocalist and bass guitarist. Bruce has been referred to as a "World-class pioneer in his main instrument; a composer of some of the most endurable and recognisable rock songs of our time; an accomplished classical, jazz and Latin musician and one of popular music's most distinctive and evocative voices." The Sunday Times states that "many consider him to be one of the greatest bass players of all time.”
