Iris Roberts Overview

Iris Roberts has a great number of impressive theatrical credits to her name. In 2009, she performed repeatedly with Old Vic New Voices and then took to the Tristan Bates Theatre before going on the Old Vic’s US Exchange and Time Warner Ignite projects in 2010. She has repeatedly worked under Jamie Lloyd’s direction, performing at Liverpool Everyman Theatre in 2008, at the Donmar Warehouse in 2011, and at The Old Vic in the part of Julia in The Duchess of Malfi in 2012. In 2011, she appeared twice at Shakespeare’s Globe in God of Soho and Doctor Faustus. Her 2012 year has been incredibly prolific: as well as her Old Vic run, she has also played Marion in the RSC’s The Heart of Robin Hood, Liz in the Arcola Theatre’s Everybody’s Doing It, Gertrude in Beggars’ Bush (Read Not Dead Shakespeare’s Globe Latitude), and starred as Miranda in Theatre Royal Bath’s The Tempest.

Iris has also done numerous workshops, rehearsed readings, cabaret and musical roles, as well as making several appearances in prestigious television shows, such as Abigail Hunter in Doctors (2009), Sue Morris in Justice (2010), and as Jo in Law and Order (2011). In 2008 she was highly commended in the Spotlight Awards for female actors.
