Gary Trainor Overview

Gary Trainor is an actor with a varied resume. He gained a degree in acting from the Italia Conti Academy and has mainly performed on stage. His stage parts include the part of Leontes in The Winter’s Tale, Charlie in Stones In His Pockets on a UK and Ireland tour, and Edinburgh Festival and Theatre 503 appearances. He has collaborated several times with Old Vic New Voices, in This Is Not The End by Natalie Ibu in their 24 hour plays, and in Gemma Fairlie’s Prophesy at the Public Theatre in New York, on their UK/US Exchange project.

Musical performances include the part of Fagan in Oliver with the St Mary’s Players, a role in the Welsh National Opera’s Sweeney Todd, and several appearances at the Landor Theatre in London. Recently, he has appeared in Buddy, Frankenstein, and The Shawshank Redemption at the Wyndhams Theatre.

In film, Trainor has performed in The Last Rose, Snapshots, and The Parting Glass. In August 2012, Gary toured to Australia and South Africa as the lead role of Jeff in the Olivier Award nominated production of Potted Potter.
