Frank Mead is a saxophonist. Whilst studying music theory, he toured the UK with Mickey Jupp’s Big Band, coming into contact with bands like The Sex Pistols. From 1979 Mead started gigging regularly in London with guitarist Steve Waller, and in 1983 joined an R&B band called Juice on the Loose. By the late 1980s, he was doing charity gigs with musicians like Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Dave Gilmore, Mark Knopfler and Andy Fairweather Low. He has played with Blues legends like Albert King, BB King, Albert Collins, Jimmy Rogers and Otis Rush, as well as music legend Procol Harum.
