The Elmbridge Ladies Choir is based in the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, United Kingdom and comprises members drawn from the greater Elmbridge Metropolitan and surrounding areas. Started by Cliff van Tonder in March 2009, the volunteers sing a variety of music, from folk songs to modern pop and contemporary music, fundraising to help local charities. due to the level of demand from ladies to join the choir. The Ladies choir has grown to almost 90 members and in mid-July 2009 held their first performance at the Molesey Amateur Regatta to a sell-out audience of over 200. They were also invited to sing live on air at BBC Surrey and BBC Sussex, which proved to a big hit with the presenters, production staff and listeners alike.
