Edgaras Montvidas is a Lithuanian tenor who was educated at the Lithuanian Music Academy. Edgaras Montvidas Overview

Edgaras Montvidas is a Lithuanian tenor who was educated at the Lithuanian Music Academy. From 2001-2003 he was a member of the Royal Opera House’s Young Artists Programme, where he sang Alfredo in La Traviata, Arminio in Verdi I Masnadieri, Marcellus and Laertes in Thomas’s Hamlet and Fenton in Falstaff. Between 2004 and 2006 he was a member of the ensemble of Frankfurt Opera. He has made other performances at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, has had appearances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and NHK in Japan and the BBC Proms, and performed with the London Sinfonietta at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. He has worked with the English National Opera and with Scottish, Lyon, Hamburg, Netherlands and Cincinatti Operas to name but a few. He has also sung in concert with the Russian National, Netherlands, Berlin and BBC Philharmonic Orchestras as well as with the BBC Symphony, Scottish Chamber. In  2009,  Edgaras  was  awarded  the  The Gold  Cross  of the  Stage theatre award in Lithuania for his performances as Werther.
