Craig Painting

Craig Painting trained at Mountview Aacadmey, performing in various performances with them before his professional debut as Ali Baba in a stage production of Arabian Nights in 2002. With a good range of regional, international, and Edinburgh Festival productions to his name, he has performed everywhere from Northampton’s Royal & Derngate Theatres to the Oxford Playhouse, and with the Birmingham Stage Company and South Hill Park & Wales Theatre Company.

Craig Painting Overview

Craig Painting trained at Mountview Aacadmey, performing in various performances with them before his professional debut as Ali Baba in a stage production of Arabian Nights in 2002. With a good range of regional, international, and Edinburgh Festival productions to his name, he has performed everywhere from Northampton’s Royal & Derngate Theatres to the Oxford Playhouse, and with the Birmingham Stage Company and South Hill Park & Wales Theatre Company. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and on a National Tour with Pandora’s Box. With an eclectic series of titles under his belt – from ‘Smashed Eggs’ to ‘What Makes Us Tick’ and ‘Stronger, Women & Theatre’ – Painting has also worked further afield, performing in Sardinia in 2006.

His television performances have also been very successful, with three different roles in TAPS productions in 2005, and performances in the BBC’s Doctors (2005) and Casualty (2008). He has also worked on a number of commercials and has worked as a drama practitioner in BBC’s 2009 Blast Drama Workshop.
