Colin Judson is a tenor who trained at the Guildhall School of Music until 1992. He has sung the title role in Werther with English Touring Opera, covered various roles with the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and appeared in Carmen at the renowned Royal Albert Hall. In concert, he has performed the Verdi Requiem in Hereford Cathedral and Haydn's Nelson Mass for the Brighton Festival. In 2002 he made his début with Scottish Opera as Alfred in Die Fledermaus, whilst his first performance with English National Opera was in their acclaimed production of The Magic Flute. The varied parts he has played include Snout (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Dr Caius (Falstaff ), Pang (Turandot), and Jaquino (Fidelio). Further recent highlights include Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Royal Philharmonic and a part in a series of short operas that has been broadcast on BBC 2.
