Clive Francis

Clive Francis is a British stage, television and film actor. Beginning his acting career at the tender age of 16, in film he has appeared in Stanley Kubrick’s infamous A Clockwork Orange (1971), among others, and has starred in various television series that include Sherlock Holmes, with guest appearances in Yes, Prime Minister. He has most recently appeared in Alan Bennett’s The Madness of George III at The Apollo Theatre.

Clive Francis is a British stage, television and film actor. Beginning his acting career at the tender age of 16, in film he has appeared in Stanley Kubrick’s infamous A Clockwork Orange (1971), among others, and has starred in various television series that include Sherlock Holmes, with guest appearances in Yes, Prime Minister. Francis has also appeared opposite Laurence Olivier in ‘Saturday, Sunday, Monday’, a play that made up part of Granada TV’s Laurence Olivier Presents series. On stage, his first West End appearance was in ‘There’s a Girl in My Soup’ opposite Donald Sinden. He regularly tours his one-man version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, taking it to Monte Carlo as part of the British Theatre Season in Monaco. He has most recently appeared in Alan Bennett’s The Madness of George III at The Apollo Theatre.
