Carrie Cracknell is a British stage director. She studied at the University of Nottingham and was President of The Nottingham New Theatre while there, before later studying directing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Carrie was Artistic Director of Gate Theatre from 2007-2012 and is currently Associate Director of the Royal Court theatre and an Associate Artist at the Young Vic. Her dance and theatre production of I Am Falling (2008) at the Gate Theatre and Sadlers Wells was nominated for a Southbank Show Award. Her revival of Ibsen’s masterpiece A Doll’s House (2013) resulted in a nomination for Best Director at the Evening Standard Awards.
