Carol Smillie Overview

Carol Smillie is a Scottish television personality, model and actress. Famous for hosting the British version of the television game show, Wheel of Fortune, in 1989, Smillie is best known for presenting the award winning BBC series Changing Rooms, which won her a National Television Award for Most Popular Factual Programme in 1998. She has since presented other primetime shows for the BBC, including the National Lottery and her own morning chat show, Smillie’s People. As well as presenting TV shows, Smillie has also expanded her performance horizons, appearing in touring stage productions of The Vagina Monologues (2006 and 2007) and Hormonal Housewives (2010 and 2012). Between 2007 and 2010 she was the figurehead model for The Edinburgh Woolen Mill. She is well known for her smile, which has been caricatured by the British impressionist Ronni Ancona in the UK television show, Big Impression.
