Camilla Dallerup

Camilla Dallerup is a British based Danish ballroom dancer, dance instructor and model. Best  known for her appearances on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing since its inauguration in 2004, she won the show for the first time in 2008 when she partnered Holby City actor Tom Chambers. Camilla Dallerup Overview

Camilla Dallerup is a British based Danish ballroom dancer, dance instructor and model. Winner of the Danish Junior Dance Championships at the age of 12, when she moved to New Zealand she competed in dance events with Brendan Cole, who became her fiancé. In 2003 the pair were placed 3rd in the Latin American category of the UK Closed Professionals, and in the top 12 of the world professionals at the Open British Championships. Best  known for her appearances on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing since its inauguration in 2004, she won the show for the first time in 2008 when she partnered Holby City actor Tom Chambers. Although she did not return to the TV show again, she did tour with Chambers in early 2009. Her career has been varied, modelling since a very young age, co-hosting CBBC shows, appearing on Blue Peter, and competing in the series The Underdog Show and I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, although she quit the latter show after only a few days. Camilla has also co-founded a business Truly Fabulous Events with Ian Waite, with whom she danced and came 2nd for Latin American at the 2005 UK Closed Championships. In September 2007, Dallerup represented the UK with Brendan Cole in the European Dance Contest. In 2011 and 2012, she has performed in the stage play of Calendar Girls, and has also taken the role of Genie of the Lamp in First Family Entertainment’s 2011 panto Aladdin.
