Bonnie Langford Overview

Bonnie Langford has packed a wealth of experience into her outstanding career which has embraced success in theatre, television, film and radio both in Britain and America.

Most recently, Bonnie played The Lady of The Lake in the UK Tour of Spamalot. Prior to that, she spent over two years the United States where she starred in her own critically acclaimed cabaret show as part of the Brits Off Broadway season at 59E59 Theaters. She also appeared with Tyne Daly in a workshop production of the new musical Queen of the Stardust Ballroom, directed by Jerry Mitchell.

She garnered yet more rave reviews for her portrayal of Roxie Hart in Chicago both on Broadway and on the North American national tour, a role which she had previously played at the Adelphi Theatre and the Cambridge Theatre in London's West End.

Bonnie made her West End debut at the tender age of seven in a musical adaptation of Gone with the Wind at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. The following year she played Baby June in Gypsy opposite Angela Lansbury at the Piccadilly Theatre. Bonnie made such an impact that the producers took her to America with the show for a national tour and a highly successful run on Broadway.  For this performance, at the age of ten, Bonnie was nominated for a Drama Desk Award.

On London's West End stage, she has starred in a further five smash hit Musicals past productions include Cats - New London Theatre (original London cast); The Pirates Of Penzance - Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and London Palladium; Peter Pan - The Musical (playing the title role) - Aldwych Theatre; Me And My Girl - Adelphi Theatre; and her much acclaimed portrayal of Charity in Sweet Charity - Victoria Palace Theatre. She has toured the UK in Oklahoma!; Charlie Girl; 42nd Street and, most recently, as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (Donmar Warehouse Theatre Production). She headlined the US cast of Fosse on the British leg of their International Tour and has also appeared in three Royal Variety Performances and numerous Royal Galas. She toured the UK with comedienne Sandi Toksvig in their hilarious show Short and Curly and Bonnie's one-woman concert is a regular sell-out throughout the world.

Bonnie appeared in the hit musical film Bugsy Malone and many British television series including Just William, The Lena and Bonnie Show, the award-winning Hot Shoe Show, Hotel Babylon, Marple, The Catherine Tate Show and as the 22nd assistant to BBC TV's Doctor Who. She has been the subject of ITV's This Is Your Life.

In 2006, she learned to ice skate in front of millions on the hit show Dancing on Ice, skating her way to the final. Bonnie returned to the ice for the special Champion of Champions, before taking part in Dancing on Ice - The Live Tour, in both 2007 and 2008.

On radio, Posters of Montmartre, The Sandi Toksvig Show, Sweet Charity and the Charles Strouse 80th Birthday Concert are highlights. Her solo albums include Bonnie Langford Now and the top selling Jazz at the Theatre both of which are available for download on iTunes.
