Alan Westaway Overview

Alan Westaway has a string of television and stage credits to his bow. Featuring in many widely reputable BBC shows, such as Casualty (2004 & 2007), EastEnders (2006), Peep Show (2006), Holby City (2009), as well as Skins (2009) and The Borgias (2010), he has also performed in many of the UK’s leading theatres. From a debut under director Michael Grandage in 1998 to performances in London Fringe venues The Gate and Soho Theatre in 1999, in the early noughties he performed in theatres as variable as Sheffield Crucible Theatre, the Watermill in Newbury and Regent’s Open Air Theatre. Completing the performance list at great London theatres, he has performed at the Tricycle (2004),  Trafalgar Studios (2007) and most recently at the Royal Court under Jamie Lloyd with The Faith Machine (2011). Not content with dominating the acting scene, Alan is also a writer and has TV and film projects in development with the BBC, Working Title Films and Primal Pictures.
